Role Overview
We are seeking an Open Source Talent Acquisition Manager to focus on identifying, attracting, and engaging skilled contributors who are passionate about advancing AI and education through open-source initiatives. In this role, you will work to build and strengthen relationships within the open-source community, create pathways to engage talented individuals, and promote Reality AI Lab's mission to potential contributors. This role is ideal for someone skilled in community outreach and recruitment, who is driven by open-source principles and motivated to build a diverse, engaged, and vibrant community.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Sourcing: Actively seek out and identify potential contributors by participating in open-source forums, attending relevant online events, and leveraging professional networks to attract skilled and passionate individuals.
- Community Outreach: Promote Reality AI Lab's projects and mission within the open-source ecosystem by engaging with communities, sharing project goals, and highlighting opportunities for meaningful contributions.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions, bootcamps, professional networks, and other organizations to establish a pipeline of potential contributors and maintain ongoing interest in the project.
- Candidate Engagement: Create engaging communications to connect with potential contributors, share project opportunities, and inspire alignment with Reality AI Lab's mission and values.
- Diversity and Inclusion Advocacy: Champion inclusive recruitment practices to attract a diverse range of contributors, ensuring varied perspectives and backgrounds are represented within the community.
- Talent Retention Collaboration: Collaborate with onboarding and community management teams to ensure a smooth transition for contributors and encourage long-term engagement.
Requirements
- Experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment: Background in talent sourcing, recruitment, or community management, with experience in volunteer-driven or open-source environments preferred.
- Strong Communication and Networking Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to effectively convey project goals and build meaningful relationships.
- Understanding of Open-Source Culture: Familiarity with the principles, dynamics, and values of open-source communities, with a strong commitment to supporting contributor-driven growth.
- Organizational Abilities: Proficient in managing talent acquisition initiatives and tracking engagement to ensure sustained interest and high-quality contributions.
- Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: Enthusiastic about implementing inclusive recruitment strategies to foster a supportive, representative, and collaborative community.
