Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Program Manager to oversee and coordinate our suite of AI projects, ensuring they align with our strategic goals and mission. As an AI Program Manager, you will manage multiple project timelines, resources, and community contributions to drive effective program execution. This role is ideal for someone with experience in program management within AI or technology, who is eager to make an impact through open-source innovation in the educational and career development sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Planning and Execution: Develop and implement program plans, defining objectives, timelines, and resources across multiple AI projects to achieve Reality AI Lab's mission.
- Cross-Project Coordination: Oversee and facilitate collaboration between various project teams, including developers, designers, and contributors, ensuring program alignment and efficiency.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly communicate with stakeholders and the open-source community, providing updates on program progress, addressing feedback, and maintaining a transparent program direction.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks across projects and develop mitigation strategies, ensuring project stability and progress.
- Quality Assurance and Performance Metrics: Monitor program outcomes, establishing quality standards and performance metrics to assess and enhance project effectiveness.
- Documentation and Process Optimization: Ensure documentation for all projects within the program is clear and up-to-date, implementing best practices for program management in an open-source setting.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, Program Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Program Management Experience: Intermediate-level experience in managing AI or technology programs, with knowledge of program management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Asana).
- Technical Understanding of AI: Familiarity with AI applications and workflows to engage in effective program oversight and facilitate technical discussions.
- Community and Open-Source Knowledge: Experience working with or contributing to open-source projects, with an understanding of collaborative development practices.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple projects within a program and addressing challenges proactively.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with a diverse, global community and drive program cohesion.
Additional Information
- Commitment: Part-time, unpaid open-source contribution role with flexible scheduling.
- Duration: 1-6 months, remote work setup.
