Role Overview

We are seeking an Academic Partnerships Manager to cultivate and manage meaningful partnerships with academic institutions, such as universities and research organizations. In this role, you’ll identify collaboration opportunities that align with Reality AI Lab's mission, coordinate projects with academic partners, and create pathways for student and faculty involvement in our open-source projects. This position is ideal for someone with experience in partnership management, community outreach, or academic relations, who values open-source innovation and educational impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and Establish Academic Partnerships: Research and connect with academic institutions that align with Reality AI Lab's mission, fostering collaborations in AI, open-source development, and educational technology.
• Collaboration Project Development: Design and coordinate collaborative projects with academic partners, such as research initiatives, internships, and workshops, to advance shared goals and broaden Reality AI Lab's impact.
• Promote Student and Faculty Engagement: Develop engagement opportunities for students and faculty to contribute to Reality AI Lab's projects, including research fellowships, internships, and participation in open-source development.
• Track and Report Partnership Outcomes: Establish goals and metrics for each partnership, monitor progress, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders, demonstrating the value and impact of academic collaborations.
• Organize Joint Events and Knowledge Sharing: Coordinate joint events like workshops, webinars, and lectures to foster knowledge exchange and strengthen relationships between Reality AI Lab and academic communities.
• Nurture Long-Term Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with academic partners to ensure continued collaboration and alignment with Reality AI Lab's mission.

Requirements

• Experience in Partnerships or Community Engagement: Background in partnership management, academic relations, or community engagement, ideally within technology, non-profit, or educational organizations.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to engage and collaborate effectively with academic partners.
• Strategic Thinking and Project Management: Ability to identify collaboration opportunities, design partnership initiatives, and manage projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Proficient in managing multiple partnerships, tracking partnership performance, and preparing concise reports for stakeholders.
• Understanding of Open-Source and Academic Environments: Familiarity with open-source values and the educational landscape, with a commitment to advancing knowledge-sharing and open access.
• Passion for Education and Open-Source: A genuine interest in promoting educational growth and innovation through open-source partnerships.

• Commitment: Part-time, unpaid open-source contribution role with flexible scheduling.
