Role Overview

As the Co-Founder & Senior Software Engineer, you will take charge of Reality AI’s technical architecture, focusing on building robust, scalable, and user-centric applications that integrate advanced AI technologies. Your expertise in full-stack development will drive the seamless implementation of Reality AI’s open-source and proprietary AI Workers into scalable platforms for education and enterprise solutions.

You will work closely with other co-founders to ensure Reality AI’s software solutions are at the cutting edge of innovation, delivering powerful and intuitive user experiences. This position is equity-based and part-time until Pre-Seed/Seed funding is secured.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using Node.js (backend) and React (frontend).
• AI Integration: Collaborate with AI teams to integrate generative AI models and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini) into the software stack, ensuring smooth end-to-end functionality.
• Cloud-Based Architecture: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support scalable and reliable software solutions.
• API Development: Create secure, scalable, and optimized APIs to facilitate communication between AI models and the front-end applications.
• Technical Leadership: Lead software engineering efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code. Mentor and collaborate with future team members.
• Collaboration: Work closely with AI, Product, and Design teams to ensure seamless integration of AI features with intuitive user interfaces.
• Rapid Prototyping: Develop prototypes to test new ideas, iterating based on feedback to meet business and user needs.
• Scalability and Performance: Ensure all software systems are built with scalability and reliability in mind to support rapid growth.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure robust security protocols and compliance measures are integrated into the software stack.

Requirements

• Full-Stack Expertise: Proven experience as a full-stack developer with strong proficiency in Node.js, React, and modern web development frameworks.
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other cloud providers for building and managing scalable applications.
• AI Integration: Familiarity with integrating AI/ML models, APIs, and frameworks into software platforms.
• API Development: Experience designing and deploying RESTful APIs or GraphQL APIs for scalable applications.
• Scalable Systems: A track record of building and deploying high-performance, scalable software systems.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, with knowledge of testing frameworks and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative startup environment, aligning with cross-functional teams.
• Problem Solving: A creative and analytical mindset to solve complex technical challenges and build innovative solutions.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
