Role Overview

We are seeking a Core Generative AI Maintainer to manage and maintain the integrity and performance of generative AI components in our open-source projects, including Marvel AI and Sky AI. As a maintainer, your focus will be on monitoring, improving, and troubleshooting existing generative AI systems to ensure they continue to meet quality standards. This role is ideal for those experienced in maintaining complex AI models, passionate about open-source, and ready to ensure the reliability and accuracy of generative AI-driven features.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Monitoring and Maintenance: Regularly monitor the performance of deployed generative AI models, ensuring they meet desired accuracy, speed, and stability requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve issues related to model outputs, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies, working proactively to maintain a stable system.
• Quality Assurance: Review code and model updates from contributors, ensuring they meet project standards and adhere to best practices in generative AI.
• Version Control and Model Updates: Maintain version control for models, documenting and implementing model updates, rollbacks, and bug fixes as necessary.
• Documentation and Guidelines: Update and maintain comprehensive documentation on generative AI components, including maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and performance benchmarks.
• Community Support and Contributor Guidance: Support and mentor contributors focused on generative AI, offering feedback and ensuring contributions align with project goals and quality standards.

Requirements

• Technical Proficiency: Strong background in Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG, and multimodal AI, with experience in Python and libraries like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Maintenance Experience: Proven experience in managing and maintaining AI models, including troubleshooting, optimization, and version control.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve generative AI-specific issues, with a focus on ensuring stable and high-quality model outputs.
• Open Source Familiarity: Experience working in open-source environments, with proficiency in version control and collaborative development practices.
• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills for collaborating within the open-source community and providing feedback to contributors.
• Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and document multiple maintenance tasks in a flexible, remote work setting.
