Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Generative AI Mentor to guide contributors in designing, developing, and deploying innovative AI solutions. This role emphasizes hands-on mentorship in cutting-edge generative AI development, leveraging modern frameworks and tools like LangChain, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI Agents, CrewAI, and vector databases such as Pinecone. You’ll play a vital role in fostering a thriving open-source community, empowering contributors to advance their skills while building impactful educational AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentorship in Generative AI Development: Provide guidance on leveraging tools like LangChain, RAG, AI Agents, and CrewAI to build generative AI solutions tailored for educational applications.
  • Vector Database and RAG Integration: Mentor contributors on integrating vector databases (e.g., Pinecone) and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines to enhance AI capabilities.
  • Code Review and Development Support: Review contributors’ codebases, offering detailed feedback to ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to project standards.
  • Workshops and Tutorials: Lead focused sessions on topics such as LLM fine-tuning, multimodal AI, and prompt engineering, helping contributors deepen their technical expertise.
  • Ethical AI Implementation: Guide contributors on best practices for deploying generative AI tools responsibly, emphasizing fairness, inclusivity, and privacy.
  • Collaboration in Open-Source Projects: Support a collaborative, community-driven development environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and collective problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Experience in Generative AI Development: 2+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and tools like LangChain or Pinecone.
  • Proficiency in Modern AI Tools: Strong knowledge of Python and frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, and cloud computing APIs (e.g., Google Gemini AI).
  • Strong Mentorship and Communication Skills: Ability to guide contributors with varying levels of experience, providing clear, actionable advice.
  • Debugging and Problem-Solving Expertise: Skilled in identifying and resolving technical challenges in generative AI development, such as model integration and performance optimization.
  • Commitment to Open-Source Values: Familiarity with open-source collaboration dynamics, with a focus on inclusivity, transparency, and community-driven impact.
  • Ethical Awareness: Deep understanding of ethical considerations in AI applications, particularly in educational contexts.
