Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Designer to join our lab and shape the user experience of Marvel AI and Sky AI. As a Product Designer, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team to create intuitive and impactful designs that enhance our users' educational and career journeys. This role is ideal for aspiring designers eager to make a tangible difference in education technology while gaining experience in open-source product design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design User-Centered Interfaces: Create and refine user experiences for Marvel AI and Sky AI using Figma, focusing on accessibility, ease of use, and educational impact.
• Collaborate on Product Development: Work with cross-functional teams, including developers and AI engineers, to ensure designs align with both technical requirements and user needs.
• Conduct User Research and Testing: Engage in user research to understand the needs of educators and learners; iterate on designs based on feedback and testing results.
• Documentation and Design Systems: Contribute to building a design system and document design choices to support consistency across projects.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (completed or in progress) in Product Design, UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or related fields.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Figma for creating, prototyping, and sharing design work.
• UX/UI Knowledge: Beginner to intermediate understanding of user-centered design practices, including wireframing, prototyping, and user testing.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities; excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Information

• Commitment: Part-time, unpaid open-source contribution role with flexible scheduling.
• Duration: 1-6 months, remote work setup.
